My 3 year old daughter had an ingrown eyelash in her upper lid which was causing her discomfort. I was luckily able to get an appointment on the same day I called as there had been a cancellation and Prof. Simon Barnard was able to remove the eyelash keeping my toddler calm and reassured. I am very grateful! All the staff are very friendly and sweet with children.

I'd all but given up on trying to correct my vision but booked an appointment with Prof. Barnard as a last resort. After booking an Orthoptic appointment he diagnosed and explained the issue of 'binocular lock' providing me with exercises to help improve my eyes convergence and my 3D vision. I have been working with him over the last 4 years to reduce the prism in my prescription and we are very nearly there. No other optometrist had identified the cause of my deteriorating eye sight, choosing only to tackle the symptom of the condition through increased prescriptions. It was a huge relief to understand why my vision was deteriorating, and to know there was something I could do about it. I can honestly say my quality of life has been significantly improved and I am hugely thankful to Prof. Barnard for his intervention and understanding in this field.

Whilst they may offer a thorough examination & diagnostic service they're incredibly expensive - 189 for eye test and 120 for OCT test [which was unnecessary]. Really poor experience to find that prescription sunglasses will cost 1000!

I had an excellent experience at Barnard Levit Optometrists. Professor Barnard and all the staff were extremely professional, helpful and attentive.Their customer service is 5* , they made me feel comfortable and I was well taken care of. I would definitely recommend them.

I saw Professor Barnard. He spent over an hour giving me various eye tests explaining everything as he went. Further tests carried out by the clinic manager, Dinah, on a number of high-tech machines, again with full explanations. Established what prescription I needed and then Phillipa and Dinah helped me to choose frames. Glasses were ready within a week and Phillipa spent time adjusting them to make sure they were perfect. They couldn't be more thorough and helpful. Highly recommend this practice.
