Manahoy tunnel is an old early 1900s era tunnel. The cool thing about this tunnel is that the east portal had 2 wind turbines to blow air though the tunnel after steam trains would pass through. While the turbines are long gone, due to scrapping by the reading railroad and looting from visiters, the housing and parts of the turbine base still remain. The turbine housing is in rough shape. As for the tracks, they are still in use. The Reading and Northern still use those tracks to get to the coal mines further down the line. Another fun fact, this same line runs past the famous Centralia, the mining town that has had a fire burning beneath it for half a century.
