Appointments double booked and different staff calling at least five times over the following week to change an appointment that had already been changed - all because the previous member of the vet team failed to make a note of it - again and again. Initially I couldn't help but laugh. But while I understood to some extent - afterall we're still in semi-lockdown and things are difficult all round - I had only recently joined this vets and so the final straw came when I received a call from the vet's on the morning of my cat's dental appointment to say the vet may or may not be able to do the procedure as he already had two others booked in for that day... but I could, if I wanted, take my nervous cat there anyway and leave him all day JUST IN CASE the vet could fit him in. Availing that I would have to wait until June for an appointment (it's now April). Well, nice people... possibly a good vet... but even in lockdown I think most places could manage without the level of chaos I experienced here. The right hand literally doesn't seem to know what the left is doing... so sadly after losing faith, I'm having to find another vet - while my poor cat remains in pain with a dental issue.

We tried to bring our puppy here because she was very ill. The receptionist couldnt get off the phone quick enough and didn't let me explain everything. After 3 days at a different vet that actually accepted her, she had to be euthanized. Maybe if these helped when I first asked, she'd still be alive.
Took the dog for a consultation..paid for this and was given a few days of pain relief and charged for 2 months supply. No refunds offered for short supply provided. Was advised to bring him back in a week, now we have got insurance and was advised that it would be an ongoing case. Come back and you charge us again for another consultation with a ****** of a vet, so abrupt. I wouldn't recommend taking anyones pet to this shower. I'm sorry but I am fuming with the poor service. If I could give negative stars I would. This isn't the last of this.
So pleased with this vets will definitely be using these in future had to have my 14 year old dog put to sleep due to cancer can’t be happier with the service they provided and kept me up to date with news on his cremation thank you all staff at the Abby vets much appreciated lots of love Joanne Tyson’s owner x
In Feb 2018 we found out our Rocky had diabetes and Brian and the staff at Abbey vets looked after him so well, we could not have asked for any better care than they gave him. Thank you so much. Unfortunately Rocky had a stroke and passed away on Sunday 23rd June. We miss him so much
Always been happy with the service and treatment for my dogs. All staff are friendly and approachable it makes a different.
I can’t speak more highly of Brian at Wombwell and the nursing team at Barnsley for how they have looked after my dog recently. To say we were devastated when we found a lump on our dogs ear which had to be removed and a biopsy taken was an understatement. Brian booked him in for surgery at Barnsley the following day carried out the operation himself kept in contact with me during and after his op. I’ve got to say that the wound is so neat. He managed to move his dressing that night but I contacted Barnsley the following morning and they saw us straight away. I received a phone call from Brian 6 days later with the biopsy results relieved to say it was good news. His wound is healing beautifully. This is very caring Vet and I can’t thank them enough for how they have looked after our 10 month old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel xxx
