Great bar/venue. Decent beer range, pool table and friendly locals. Plenty of parking too if you're visiting for a gig and not drinking.

What a venue!! Well worth a visit and some great live bands! Such a mix. Great selection of beers in a nice environment. We'll worth it! Staropramen on draught too... My fave!

Apparently, this venue once left a lot to be desired. However, I believe it's been overhauled, and it was very nice when I visited. The staff are friendly and polite, the toilets are clean, and the drinks are reasonably priced. The live music area is what makes this place though. A small hall with a stage at one end might not sound like much, but the sound quality was spot on, and it was nice to see decent lighting at a gig for a change. The hanging linens and firefly lights added to the atmosphere of a most enjoyable evening. I would have no qualms about returning here, any time. If this is typical of the area, then Barnsley should be proud. Recommended.

Small quint venue small but good selection of beers. Great for live music. Reasonable prices. What more could you want. Also serves Red Stripe tinnies, can't go wrong. PS no contactless or card payments.
