2.5* this beach is fairly secluded from the hustle and bustle. Yet on nice summer days, this beach can be packed with people. For a small beach, it's unbelievably busy. Suitable for younger children as it has a small playground as well. It has a significant slope towards the beach from the grass and I find that the water area a bit too rocky. The parking is small and only capable of parking about 25 cars. If your looking for a small beach in the area, this might be for you.

It is a nice quiet place during the weekday. The scenery is beautiful. I don't go into the water but you can swim if you want to. The sand is nice on your feet. There is washroom facilities which are kept fairly clean.

Great, low-key beach that is very well-maintained with plenty of stuff to do: playground, volleyball nets, a huge gazebo to host a gathering. Public bathrooms are on the grounds as well which is convenient. Only downfall is parking is 10/hour and it's pretty scarce (not during the week though).

Tyndale beach is terrific for a family picnic...the only serious problem it has, to be perfectly honest, is the over zealous security guard who took it upon himself to upset several residents who use the park. As if grilling several visitors to the park wasn't bad enough but to demand that they halt at his command seemed to be a little over the top and that's when aggressive behaviour begins. I've lived in Barrie for 40 plus years and have never experienced this attitude or attempt at control of a citizen by a "security" guard. Almost and I say almost ruined my family's day. The city parks manager needs to review this type of protocol during these pandemic times to make sure that they have staff members on who can not only refrain from aggressive behaviour but to be kind and helpful as well.

I love this beach. Perfect for small children. We came from Toronto so we had to pay the parking 10per day. Besides that everything is beautiful!

Good for kids and sunbathing! Too many stones in the lake. Parking 10 an hour.
