Authentic and organic Ivatan food was very delicious. The owner and her staff are very friendly. It's as if you're eating at your own home. The ambiance is lovely as well. If you wish to go here, please book ahead of time to avoid disappointed. Highly recommended if you're visiting Batanes
So nice! We came here for lunch, the lady brought us soon some meet, without asking, so we explained that we were vegetarian and she brought soon some grilled fish, one of the most good salad with vinegar and rice with curcuma, all served on a big leaf. The place is nice, I loved a lot the plants around in the garden. Good job, the lady was very "heartful", but maybe tell first the menu!
This is my favorite place to eat in Batanes, for 2 reasons: Genuine Ivatan Hospitality and Awesome Food. I've tried other recommended places but I always get the feeling that the quality isn't up to par with what your paying. I half expected this before visiting Batanes but still unpleasant. With Vunong at Jessica's IT'S TOTALLY the OPPOSITE!! You feel welcomed, The ambience is Great and the food, more so! So you pay Php300 for a set Meal; \u003eSoup \u003eVunong {Turmeric Rice Lunis [Ivatan version of Adobo] Tapa Balls [ubod cya ng saging di ko matandaan pangalan] Fish} \u003ePako Salad \u003eDessert (kakanin, I had Camote @Lunch and Muruya at Dinner) Overall Awesome Food and Highly Recommended!! This may be one of the reasons I will be back in Batanes, haha A tourist Attraction in itself and a must experience when visiting Batanes Thank you the always smiling Ms. Shaira and Ms. Olette for the Hospitality and Amazing Food!! I made the mistake of eating here on my last day in Batanes, Regretting it now while writing this overly long review, Anyways you don't get Vunong in Manila so go here earlier and don't believe Google Lastly, practice Kamayan! Perhaps one of the best set meals I’ve had in my life! Jessica is very accommodating, she welcomed us even we did not have reservation. We arrived in between lunch and dinner.
Go for the experience of eating authentic ivatan food! their lobsters also looked good.
