When we went to Mt. Talamitam, we decided to go to Mt. Apayang. I thought it was not a good idea, but it turned out that it was a good one. It also tested my endurance as we went through an ocean of newly trimmed cogon grass.

You have to hike Mt. Talamitam first before going in here. It’s also known as twin hike. It is a beginner mountain located in Batangas. It has a beautiful view of Batangas and the China Sea. Pls do support and avail the services of the local tour guide. Bring enough water as you have to hike atleast 5hours vice versa in this twin hike. Overnight is allowed. There are vendors along the way offering refreshments, fruits and food. Parking space and shower area is available at the jump off point. The jump off point is accessible by public transportation. Just ride a bus in EDSA Pasay bound to Nasugbu/ Lian/ Calatagan and tell the driver to drop you off at the Mt Talamitam Jump off point. To avoid heat stroke or extreme dehydration, avoid hiking this during the summer March-May unless you are pro hiker. Best months to hike December-February. PLEASE TAKE NOTE that not all hikers do the twin hike to Mt. Apayang as such seldom do visit this mountain. While I was taking pics at the peak of this mountain. My tour guide saw an incoming venomous snake going to where I was standing. Thankfully, the guide immediately distract the snake and ran the opposite. Make sure to have sharp eye and beware to your sorroundings when hiking.

30-60 mins away from Mt. Talimtiman, also a nice mountain but I find Mt. Talimtiman to have a better view
