Like the store, it's just their check out system is very annoying They are always pushing customers to use the self check out. I have nothing against self check outs, I use them at other stores. The shoppers self scans are not designed good, too crowded, too small. Its is very annoying to keep getting asked to use them everytime I go.

We had a big cart full of things today at Shoppers in Bathurst. Instead of using a cash (which we wanted) they directed us to the self check out. They also told us which items we should group together as we packed our own items. While we did this the 2 cashiers talked about their plans for the weekend. They were not busy at all. I worked at 2 different Shoppers locations for a total of 9 years. I've been both a cashier and Supervisor on evenings & weekends. This was shocking to see. I would of never behaved that way in front of customers.

I've been a loyal customer for years and years but recently every time I'm ready to check out I'm asked to use a self checkout no matter how full my cart is. I don't mind using them when there's a line up and I only have a few things. Most recently I had a cart full and there were no other customers but 2 workers were waiting to direct me to the self checkout and while I fumbled and juggled my products they chatted and had a great visit. It was brutal and I'm done.

Four times, within a couple of months, I went to the prescription order counter only to be ignored (by one particular employee) until SHE was GOOD AND READY to acknowledge I exist. Got fed up and switched to Pharmasave. There, they greet you as you approach the counter no matter how busy they are. Simple etiquette!
