Good place to learn about the history. Suggest all the schools should plan for a visit here to learn about the history. If the trees around this place can be removed will be better to understand the strategic location of this base to protect the attacks from the straits of Melacca. Must crawl and climb the tunnels and ladders.

This is perhaps the best kept secret on Penang Island, couldn't believe I was the only person walking around this amazing site today. Whilst only several guns remain, alot of the buildings erected by the British in the 1930s are still there as well as the gun placements and bunkers. I loved walking round with the peace and solitude of the surroundings, it gave this place the solemnity it deserves after the atrocities committed by the Japanese when they took control of this Fort. This is not the place to bring screaming kids. I see this place also as a war memorial to those who suffered and died here. Great place to visit, no hesitation giving this 5 stars.

Pretty nice tunnel and ladders for us to explore the discovery of their museum. It is not recommended to visit on night session as it is pretty haunted scenario of their quarters. Many jumpscare from wild animals too.

Not much to see here. I felt Ticket prices not worth the exhibits. But probably they need funds to keep this historical site well maintained and to help it keep going, the tickets are slightly higher. Adults were charged RM 22 and children were charged RM 12.
