Perfect place to stay in Bayeux. Fun sharing breakfast and meeting different travelers each morning before beginning our days in Normandy. Our room had 3 walls of windows and we had a view of the beautiful cathedral. Our hosts were charming and accommodating. If you have a car, you will need to park offsite after unloading but there are different options for that.

Quaint rooms with lovely french country feel. Excellent location. Great continental french breakfast.

The guest house is not the Castel. It's the modern guest house. Out back. Just so you're clear. Nice, though. Well situated, a literal stone's throw from the bayeux tapestry. Which isn't really a tapestry; an embroidery, more like. Please don't throw anything at it.

This place is wonderful. Although the reception desk is only staffed from 17 to 20 o'clock, the owner and staff are very nice and helpful. Guides booklets of Bayeux in several languages including English and German (and French) are available and the host showed us where to find the museums and recommended a few restaurants in the area on a map inside one. The rooms are very nice aswell, some with view of the cathedral. WiFi also is available free of charge. If you have trouble climbing stairs though, you might be out of luck, because as far as I know, there are no (available) rooms on the ground floor, but I might be wrong. The breakfast is very nice aswell with several types of bread, a few cheeses and two different jams. Three different cereals were also available.

The room was great, it was very spacious for two people. The location was close to town with good restaurants and free parking. The best was the owner who was very nice and very helpful. He made us feel welcome.

This place is great! Small, quaint, pipes squeak a bit but that adds to the charm. The staff are super attentive (almost too much)! They walk you to your room, etc. Sooooo nice. Breakfast is awesome (just make sure you aren't dieting that day). Close walk to the main Street, but far enough away for quiet I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

We found Le Castel as a result of a sudden SNCF strike. When we arrived Marie was very gracious and solicitous as to our being stranded an extra night in Bayeux. The room was very nice. The bed comfortable and the shower very spacious. Additionally, they had English language channels on the TV. The room we had was apparently recently remodeled and very modern. The breakfast was European and the guests a melange from many countries. Le Castel is perhaps a 15 minute walk from the train station and a couple minute walk from the cathedral. It was an enjoyable interlude, to a transit strike.
