Nice place for a walk :) Peaceful and calm
like
Beeston Canal and Lock and parkland pathways alongside the River Trent, near the Beeston Weir. Great views along the Trent and some lovely cafe's and always a selection of \Barges\ to see moored along the riverside.
A truly wonderful place. Such a peaceful spot where the canal meets the wide flowing River Trent. Far from the madding crowd, Beeston Lock is a must visit for an afternoons quiet contemplation, and a good walk. Finish off with a cup of tea and cake at the very friendly Canalside Heritage Centre.
There is where the canal meets the River Trent, it's a tranquil and fun spot to relax and watch the narrow boats transfer from one section to another. There are a couple cafes nearby, along with the Heritage Museum that has some interesting information. It's a fun spot to top for a few minutes, but it's not a destination by any means.
Lovely place to stop with a boat. The shower is a bit grubby but decent pressure.
