International Hydrogen Fuel Cell Association (hereinafter referred to as the “Association”), initiated by SAE-China, will be established after submitting its application to the State Council of the People's Republic of China through the China Association for Science and Technology. After approval of its application by the State Council, the Association will officially register at the Ministry of Civil Affairs of the People's Republic of China. The tenets of the Association are collaboration, innovation, and reciprocal sharing. The current initiators of the association are: The United Nations Development Programme, Toyota Motor (China), Anglo American, Daimler Greater China Ltd., Honda Motor, Ballard Power Systems, Air Liquide, Shell, China FAW Group Corporation, SAIC Motor Corporation, China Petrochemical Corporation, China National Petroleum Corporation, and etc. The Association, functioning as bridge and linkage to integrate the resources across the entire hydrogen fuel cell industry chain, will create an international platform to promote global communication and collaboration encompassing a complete hydrogen fuel cell industry chain. The objective is to collectively manage various challenges facing the fuel cell industry during its commercialization, foster a market environment encouraging fuel cell scalable applications, and promote global fuel cell technology advancement and commercial deployment as well as Association members’ collaborative development. 国际氢能燃料电池协会（筹）是由中国汽车工程学会发起，将通过中国科协向国务院申请批准成立，并在民政部正式注册的团体。协会接受民政部、科协、工信部、科技部、发改委、国家标准委等部委和机构的指导，着重与国际相关企业和机构合作。目前主要发起人有：联合国开发计划署、丰田汽车、英美资源集团、戴姆勒投资公司、本田汽车、加拿大巴拉德动力系统公司、韩国现代汽车、法国法液空公司、荷兰Shell公司、上海汽车、一汽、中石油、中石化、美国阿岗国家实验室等公司和机构。 协会的宗旨是：合作创新，信息共享。协会将按照国际组织的运行模式，致力于打造覆盖氢能、燃料电池汽车全产业链的国际交流平台；开展燃料电池汽车和氢基础设施示范推广活动；研究探讨燃料电池汽车的商业化模式；完善相关激励政策体系和标准法规建设；通过国际信息交流平台和媒体宣传等方式，开展科普宣传和知识普及等活动，促进全球燃料电池汽车的技术进步和商业化推广。欢迎有志之士加入国际氢能燃料电池协会。
