Always a delight coming to Windy Point with their outstanding service. We were lucky to get a table against the window with the lovely view of Adelaide City. We had the set menu, where we got to choose from a few options for each course. Food was great, but I found the dessert quite average.

I have been frequenting Windy Point for years and something has changed. I booked online and then called to ask about the changes in menu and if there was any other option than the set menu online. The person who answered was rude and inattentive to what I was asking. When we arrived at the restaurant we were not welcomed with even a hello, instead we were yelled at and ordered to show our phones and proof of signing in. I stated my phone was flat but my wife had actually signed in. It was at this point the male attendant slammed his fist on the counter and raised his voice that I must complete the written register which I was happy to do. I didn't need him to carry on. After that we were seated, the waitresses were great, we all got our drinks besides one, who ended up waiting 20 minutes. I understand you pay for the view however the food didn't really live up to previous experiences and the whole vibe was rather lack luster. Upon paying I was about to enter my pin number and a hand covered the machine, the same male attendant asked me to consider a tip. If I was to get amazing service and the staff had gone above and beyond to help us then I would be most happy. There was no way in hell I was offering any form of tip and the audacity to even ask, delusional. Needles to say Windy Point has a reputation, one that is quickly dissolving along with its loyal customer base. If you read this review do yourself a favor and try somewhere else. There are many great spots to eat that are eager for business and that quite frankly will treat you a lot better.

Myself and my wife went here last night for dinner in the restaurant. Everything was absolutely perfect, from the friendly greetings upon entering, the amazing quality of food and of course the spectacular views.. We were served by Yan who was such a funny, friendly person :-) She went above and beyond with her service and made our experience that bit more special! 10/10

Very disappointing experience from start to finish. We've been here multiple times and it has always been our favourite fine dining restaurant in Adelaide. Something has changed since prior to covid and now. It is not longer fine dining, which we did not realise when booking. We thought when booking, the price was a lot cheaper than our previous visits, which already had us thinking something was strange. Only a set tasting menu on offer, which we don't mind, however 4 of the 5 courses were very cheap. One for example was literally watermelon, cucumber and beetroot on a plate? The only meat course is the one you pick, which is the 1 out of 5 that obviously is not cheap. We had lamb and unfortunately it was dry. Food was far from what we experienced in the past. The dessert on offer looked ridiculous on the plate and simply wasn't nice. We had to wait too long between each meal. We had been seated in the window corner, where the only thing you can see is your own reflection, so we felt very silly sitting waiting between each meal. That table really shouldn't be used, as you can't see any view even if you try to look around. It's not the fine dining restaurant it used to be. Even how the bathrooms are set up and the service, just a totally different experience. I don't think we would come back, which is really sad to lose our favourite restaurant in Adelaide.

We had a fabulous Valentine's night, food and service was exceptionally good. The 5 course special for this event was well thought out and delivered on the night. Thanks to the team for a great night out. May see you next year!

After trying to book in for my birthday and being unsuccessful we finally got in a few weeks later for our anniversary and let me tell you, it was worth the wait! My partner and I did the 75 winter tasting, I had the vegan version that they created and it was incredible. The mushroom dish was hands down my favourite but every dish held its own in terms of flavour. Staff were very attentive and the views of the city lights definitely topped off the experience. Can't wait to come back and dine with you again!

For the money you pay the dining experience is always disappointing, and we have tried several times now. They position themselves as a star restaurant but the level of refinement simply isn't there. Only the chocolate desert (and view) is really worth coming back for. I'll also never understand surcharges during holidays. Apparently SA people don't mind ? If you're in the hospitality industry, working when other people celebrate *is* the job.
