Craigantlet House Stables

A lovely, quiet, stables on the top of the Craigantlet hills. Nice big stables inside brick built barns. The stables are dry and in good repair, everything is close to hand e.g. muck heap, horse walker, hack trail, sand menages, paddocks. The stable management team are warm, knowlegable and helpful/flexible. There is a great tack room with benches to sit and put on boots, where you get your own lockable locker, and your own bay in a barn for bedding and feed and a big, clean, club room. The only thing missing (hence 4 instead of 5 stars) is an indoor riding facility. Dress warmly in winter, it can get pretty raw due to it's location. Pricing is very reasonable, including feeding the horses morning and evening with food you have pre-prepared and you can customise a package or PAYG and at least you know exactly what you are going to pay if, for example, you can't make it up one day and ask the stable team to muck out your horse, or turn it out and bring it in. Thoroughly recommended.
