Driving the scenic Iowa route south from Dubuque heading back towards Chicago, this was a great stop. Historic Potter's Mill and tucked away setting provide the atmosphere for a perfect stop. BBQ brisket was very good (the amount of meat provided in the sandwich could be a bit more generous to make it outstanding). Multiple bbq sauces. Seasoned fries were very tasty. Several craft brews on tap. I enjoyed an interesting peanut butter stout. The staff are very outgoing & friendly and the owner is very engaging. If I lived closer, Flatted Fifth Blues BBQ at Potter's Mill would be a great place to hang out.

I love that they offer a carry out option. Definitely glad we stopped by today. The mac and cheese is AMAZING, we had it with the pulled pork sandwich. We also sprung for the mocha cake (pictured) and the bread pudding. The bread pudding was very comforting and the cake was rich and decadent.

Unique food for the area, and all fresh and made from scratch! The fried pickles are amazing! Whimsical atmosphere with an enchanting view. Minutes away from an overlook of the entire city that boasts the mighty Mississippi and the surrounding bluffs. You should absolutely make a reservation as they tend to fill up fast! Always a great experience with friendly faces.

We were riding to see the Freedom Rock in town and we started talking to a local Veteran about it. My wife and I asked him where is a good place to eat and he highly recommend this place and we agree with him. Craft beer choice was pretty good and the brisket sandwich was very good. The atmosphere was relaxing. We told some of our friends about it and we are planning a group ride there.

Food was amazing. Atmosphere was unique. Our server was very attentive. She suggested a drink for me that was spot on. They were able to accommodate my husband's drink request. Portions were big, and the price was right. Very much recommend, especially in this new COVID era.
