My boyfriend and I took a private 4 day intro to mountaineering course with BMG on the Coleman-Deming route on Mount Baker. We were able to make last-minute plans for this trip, and the communication with BMG was prompt and helpful for our quick planning. Our guide Vince was absolutely fantastic, and personalized our education based on our experience levels and mountaineering goals. We summitted on day 3, and throughout our climb Vince challenged our skills and decision-making to better prepare us for future climbs. We also completed crevasse rescue training and felt this was an invaluable part of our education. We both learned so much in this intro course, and look forward to being able to apply our new skills!

We did our AIARE 1 course with BMG, and wow. Their energy and expertise were way beyond our expectations. We had so much fun and learned a TON. Super high quality guides, courses, all the things including our virtual classroom sessions. 10/10 will be back for further trips and courses!

Did a Baker summit with Joseph up the Easton Glacier route. My first guided experience and can’t speak highly enough about BMG. I felt very safe, well-educated, and had an amazing time. If you’re considering a guided trip anywhere in the area look no further - incredibly high value for your money.

My wife and I had the fine pleasure of having our AIARE 1 course taught by John Minier -- by far the most experienced backcountry skier I have ever met. In addition to just doing a great job finding interesting ways to teach the course curriculum, we had an tough group to work with in terms of high skill and goal variability. John expertly handled these differences and showed us how important it was for us to do the same in the future. It was educational, humbling, and inspiring.

Went out with my wife and two teenagers for their first backcountry experience with Baker Mountain Guides and had an amazing experience. They are well organized, great to work with, and our guide took us on an amazing tour with beautiful views and sweet turns. Everyone felt safe, well cared for, and had a fantastic time. Thank you BMG!
