S&S repaired my garage roof at time of freezing weather and huge snowfall. Shortly thereafter I got text from some other roofer in Rockford claiming delay (in 3rd estimate) was due to weather. So, call the tough guys at S&S or wait around until Spring for cry babies. Also, I was quoted 3x price from someone else (nice guy from Machesney Pk) with assurance of hurricane proof materials. I have been using the garage for 4 years with leaks, and no hurricanes yet, so it’s good to have no-bulls—t local guys like Carey and his crew to get the job done fast even with snow on the ground and roof and frozen snow and ice everywhere.

S & S Roofing was extremely professional. Three other local roofing companies either declined or did not return our phone calls for a quote on our Queen Anne style historic home including a tower (and 3 existing roofs). Mr. Kroll, General Contractor, did admit that the roof was complicated. He and his crew tackled it. It took two weeks of every day Monday-Friday, knowing and expecting hammering at exactly 7:00am and ending at 5:00pm. He and the crew were friendly and Mr. Kroll on-site every day checking on things. There were also Seven finials on the roof. We asked the crew if they would be willing to take them down so we could repair and paint them. I know this was alot to ask as they have not been touched or removed since 1890. Not only did the crew do this with extreme care, we were not charged extra for that favor. It has been three months since they had finished, and our roof looks fantastic. Thank You, Thank You, S & S Roofing!
