What once was a cathedral remains now only partial foundations and structures for people to wander through. It must have been quite a structure though walking through this! The woodlands surrounding are really great for walks including fossil dig area for kids and bird watching.

So great that this is freely available to visit. Lots of interesting stuff to see in the woods above the abbey too. Could probably do with a few more information boards. Downloaded the app for the site and found the audio snippets interesting. Toddler and I found a shark tooth within minutes of digging in the fossil pit!

Me and all of my family absolutely LOVE this amazing beautiful area. The grounds are so interesting to view and walk through. The woods are so stunning, wild and old to stroll through especially with your dog! The ruins are so vivid, ancient and excellent to walk through - interesting picture signs and old ruins to look at. This place is fantastic and so intriguing
