It is great learning experience with String Theory Music. They have some the most talented musicians in Central Oregon on staff. They go way beyond just music lessons by encouraging the student to jump in and jam with others. Their focus on the etiquette of “the jam” improves your skills quickly, builds your musical confidence and most importantly, is a lot of fun! Highly recommend for any age student. If you ever thought you wanted to learn to play an instrument, but never got around to it, don’t wait, do it now with the help of this great group of people.

My three kids took piano and guitar lessons from Bill Hayes from 2001 to 2018. My youngest son is now attending Belmont University in Nashville, TN and is following his dream to become a singer songwriter. Bill was instrumental in encouraging him and directing him towards his goals. Now that I am an \empty-nester\, I decided to take piano lessons from Bill and I'm loving it! He is patient and really good at what he does.

This is the place to learn music! The teachers are very knowledgeable, talented musicians with tremendous patience. Rather quickly, with my teacher’s guidance, I’ve gone from not knowing how to play anything, to jamming with other musicians and performing with a band! It’s really fun learning music at String Theory Music!

One of the best places to take music lessons. You don’t just learn to play, you learn to play with others. You are never too old or young to pick up an instrument.

String Theory Music does good work bringing music education to the community through lessons, sponsoring jams and public performances for students. My playing has improved significantly since I've been coming here and my enthusiasm for playing has increased even more.
