Irvine V Southern Illinois healthcare, represented by a Mr. Drew himself, exposes a large problem of people unlawfully detaining and manipulating the civil commitment statutes of Illinois. I was a victim myself of a hospital doing something, however with only a month until the statute of limitations expired my case couldn't be represented by him. However I can say that if something like that happens to me again I will give him a ring first thing, and I've been passing out his information to other victims of mental hospitals. If someone isn't a danger to themselves or others they don't deserve to be detained. Hospitals are still doing this however. Lest we not forget that hospitals are private businesses and in it to make money. Mr. Drew god bless you for what you did in Irvine. I am going to be doing public service to advocate for changes to the mental health code so this cannot happen again.
