This was a nice hotel located around 2 Kms inside the Bentota Beach. A home combination of a hotel, the owners live on the ground floor and all the other rooms and places are for the visitors. Hotel can be booked from various online booking portals. I nice, neat and clean place with one amazing point of the staff being only women, the only problem with women staff was to ask them to carry the luggage, else everything else was good. Food cannot be eaten in the room and is served only in the dining area. Also, the owner would definitely request you to pay the amount in cash in order to save the 5% amount the bank would charge it as a form of tax or interest. The breakfast menu is also fixed and doesn't change at all, you might get bored if staying for many days. But the place is good for staying for a day or two.

I had an enjoyable stay here. The lady who is the receptionist is so friendly she always greeted me. My only issue was with the curtains in the room - they were very thin and I let the sunlight in. I was afraid that people could see me at nighttime and watch me when I was sleeping. It made me feel very uncomfortable.
One of the best resorts in Bentota for a relaxed and peaceful stay. It taste and the quality of food, comfort in the rooms and excellent staff make your holiday a memorable one.
Amazing place to spend time with your family. The owner speaks good English and German. The pool is clean and well maintained. The terrace is absolutely fantastic- you can relax there on one of authentic wooden chairs. Breakfast was really tasty. We don't eat eggs, so we were served Sri Lankan option- string hoppers, Dahl and coconut sambol. Absolutely delicious. You can also have your lunch and dinner there. Just need to order 1 hr in advance. The prices are slightly higher than what you would get in Bentota restaurants, but it's really practical. The beach is 5 mins drive by Tuk Tuk and costed us 200 LKR (1 Euro). Haus Berlin is located in the heart of a local village. If you go for a walk you would see real Sri Lanka and will be able to interact with it's people directly. Our kids loved waving at local kids, saying hi and bye. Was a great dip into local atmosphere.
Very quiet place & cosy staff.. Good foods, Clean delux rooms... also has a beautiful little swimming pool. It is located at a distance of 1.5 kilometers from the Galle Road, Bentota.
I would say Haus Berlin is the lovely little paradise in Bentota. Me and my family had a 03 nights of stay at Haus Berlin and was an amazing experience. Everything was perfectly arranged from the arrival to the departure. They served a nice glass of pure ceylon iced tea at the welcome and we really enjoyed it. Breakfast was excellent and they served some extra traditional food to experience the Sri Lankan food. The room was spacious clean and very comfortable for four of us. They also prepare and serve dinner at the restaurant and we enjoyed the special Grilled Prawn dish specially made for us by the manager. The only issue was that it is bit far from the beach but that doesn't matter they have nice tuk-tuk driver to take you to the beach. I highly recommend Haus Berlin to any body to spend their holiday in Bentota, more especially the one who wish for a calm and peaceful stay.
