This tower is junky AF. But I still liked it. As many other people have already noted, cracked and dirty windows are in abundance. I think that makes it fun, though. I came at night so the city lights were fun, but I would have liked to have seen the ocean and landscape. 300/adult. Beggars can't be choosers.

Beppu tower is a really nice place, at a great location with so many other things to do around this area, such as shopping, eating or hanging around to your the city of Beppu.

An observation tower that requires renovation. Some of the window are cracked. Very little tourists visit here, and the entrance fee is a bit over-priced in compare with the current status of the tower. It's still a good place to kill time, and I just go there to feel the "history" of the tower and Beppu. You may park your car at the large car park at Matogahama Park if you drives (2min walking distance to Beppu Tower).

Yes, this is quite an old and decrepit tower and there are better viewpoints of the city, but it is worth a visit if you enjoy 50's era buildings. Entrance was only 300 yen and parking was 100 in the lot that is very close in front of the park. Restrooms at the top of the viewing deck on the 17th floor. Children under 4 are free. Lots of cracks in the windows and they are quite dirty as well making it difficult to get good photos from inside, but better photos are from outside with the tower in view, anyway.

Just skip the aerial view and take picture from below. The window is dirty and broken, thus make everything pointless to see or take picture

A little dated, perhaps, but nice views of the city (and inexpensive). Worth a trip to the top.

Windows are dirty, there are tables placed by them so it's hard to really enjoy the 360 view, especially because of almost no free space by the western side. And the place is too intensely lit inside during the night, making observation even less enjoyable. Better go to the Global Tower in Beppu.

Old school observation tower, entrance fee is 200. Not fabulous, only if you hAve time to kill.
