The Neuro Culture Lab is a long term multimedia project initiated to explore the impact of contemporary neuroscience on the self-concept of man. By means of journalism, documentary and multimedia, the Neuro Culture Lab aims at probing the existential implications of recent developments in science - nowadays the ultimate source of authority - and look beyond the postmodern mind. Attempting at understanding the present, the Neuro Culture Lab explores religious belief systems and peeks at current practises in research laboratories. We explore how, on a personal level, the postmodern man reacts on the disenchantment of the world brought by a scientific worldview that leaves no place for intrinsic and normative values and for ultimate and existential meanings. Moreover, by means of political reportages, the Neuro Culture Lab tracks the traces of this new epistemology in society as a whole. The Neuro Culture Lab is interested in reportage, documentary, photo essay and multimedia jobs. Moreover, we are looking for cooperations in transdisciplinary research projects in the field of neuroscience, consciousness research and neurophilosophy. We also welcome participation in scientific symposia and offer to produce (multimedia-)reportages covering your own scientific projects.
