When I first went in the staff couldnt be any friendlier. She was a pleasue to work with. I went back and bought tile grout from them with a different staff member (took almost 30mins for them to locate it), was never told I couldnt bring it back if it was the wrong one. Its listed at the bottom of the invoice in fine print. I understood that but when I bought it back, was told in an arrogant way that it was not returnable. It was drizzling outside and was told \its not returnable plus its wet so we cant take it back\....it was not wet at all it was dry bc I parked right in front knowing I didnt want it to get wet. There is certain way to approach it and she definitely lacked the ability to do so. Should def train them not to go on the offense and undermine the customer.
Our contractor (GR8 Kitchens) recommended Garden State Tile for our bathroom. We had a great experience. At that point we were only looking for shower tile, but the sales person was very helpful. She pulled lots of options that would coordinate with materials we already picked out and we ended up with the perfect tile for our bathroom! Very happy with the selection, experience and finished project!
Really good designers, helpful staff, but they carry very little product in stock. Plan on waiting a week or more for most tile. Even the grout is mostly custom order and takes a while. Dal Tile has much more material in stock, but will not sell to consumers (Dal only sells to contractors). But I think Garden State has much better design staff than Dal, so if you need some help with ideas and designs, Garden State is better. Garden State also has pretty convenient hours. Prices seem fair, much less than another custom-design tile store I visited in Allentown.
