An excellent bar: great decor and good loud music. However, two of my friends wanted to go in last night, knowing that they serve a good pint of Guinness, As they got to the door, they were refused entry on 3 (yes 3!) counts. 1. You are not students; 2. You are wearing shorts and 3. You are wearing a Manchester City shirt. How bizarre is that for refusing entry to these people to a completely empty bar? They were prepared to spend a lot of cash last night, so their Manager obviously re-training in how to to make money for his employer. Instead, they went to a pub called the Salisbury. I am very familiar with: I have been in there from being a student up until recently. They gratefully accepted my friends money and a good night was had by all.

One of my favourite boozers! Great selection of beer, great staff are the roof is great on a nice day to have a drink, always play great music and perfect place to have a drink before and after a gig at the academies.
Very cosy and comfortable bar with a unique and refreshing aesthetic. Bar staff are very friendly and helpful. The entire experience feels quite homely and very nice. It's a bit out of my price range as a student but it's nice for a rare occasion
Always enjoyed this place regardless of what age I went
