Had to wait 1hr 42mins from entering the lineup to having car keys in hand! When we had the keys, the line was actually longer. When I asked for a free upgrade for wasting our time the person at the counter laughed as if I was joking. How about hiring some extra staff to handle the customers. It's not as if you don't know we're coming! Think I'll try another company next time as they seem to be able to deal with the customers quickly and efficiently.

Fast efficient service, new car which had only 900km on it, so can’t think of any reason not to recommend Hertz. Pleasant experience returning the vehicle, with no issues. All the staff I came across spoke good English.

Hired a car at the airport in Bilbao and returned it to airport at Santiago de Compostela. In both places I was treated politely and had no wait at all. I was even offered an upgrade to a Mercedes. Returned the car full as I was asked to do and received my credit immediately. Don’t be put off by the negative reviews- you're hiring a car not adopting a baby. I would use Hertz again without question. Good job!

Worst Hertz in the world! I had to queue for more than 2h to get the car, an absolute nightmare and people were screaming at them for being so slow. Also no handover of the car and being charged now for a damage I did not make!

Be very careful what marks are on the car and marks made on the paperwork before you take your car away. They mark on our paperwork but because it was not quite in the same place as when we brought it back they claimed it was a new mark (even though there was only 2 in total).
