Went here for the second time today, and again was met with amazing service from the team. Everyone is super knowledgeable and genuinely wants to help you get the right stuff for your pet. Not money hungry or pushy like some other pet stores Ive been to, and happy to answer questions. Massive range of fish and aquatics, birds and some small animals. All very healthy and well cared for. Was so impressed by this place and will be hesitant to go anywhere else to buy my pet supplies.
Always a good experience at Birdsville. I bought my hand-raised budgie from here and was given great advice on cage set up and food needs. I always bring her in to get her claws and wings trimmed. Staff are knowledgable and helpful. Great selection of toys for birds. Will definitely be using the bird boarding service when we are able to travel again!
After I read all the good reviews, I decided to drive 1 hour to the lovely pet shop.I bought a "hand raised " love bird. It is scared of people's hands very much which is not like a hand raised birds' behavior. It would love to sit on my shoulder and arm but is afraid of touching. I didn't know what it experienced in this pet shop, definitely not love and caring. Don't mention how rude and disrespectful the stuffs were. Never go to there again.
Birdsville are always fantastic! Today was no different. I was unable to find what I was looking for, namely a bird breeding box, at another well-known pet franchise, especially as birds just don’t seem to get a look-in at those stores. They understood my frustration and told me the market is heavily weighted away from budgies. They were good and kind enough to recommend Birdsville. When I got to Birdsville I was offered help by the friendly and efficient Roberto within one minute of walking in the store. He showed me a whole range of breeding boxes. The item I chose was actually just one quarter of the price I paid at a different shop about 4 years ago although I didn’t base my choice on price as I wanted the best available for my little budgie hen. I am not exaggerating, it was so cheap I had a closer look at the item and found it was made better than the one I already had. Before I left I roamed around checking the stock and all the great fish and birds. The feed such as millet was better quality and much cheaper than I’ve been paying online. I was pleased to see the birds for sale were as described and looked very healthy and so many were hand-raised babies. In future I will just drive the few further miles to Birdsville for service, quality and price.
Roberto from Birdsville was amazing. My wife and I went into the store to get a pet for our 2 year old daughter, and Roberto was able to guide us and help us get everything for a Mini Lop Rabbit. We had gone to the store undecided between guinea pigs or a rabbit. It was nice to get friendly unbiased advice, and Roberto did not pressure us into a decision at all. I would highly recommend Birdsville and the staff, and I will certainly be back in the future to get food and toys for our bunny.
Not impressed, I checked last year for a quaker parrot around this time and they were 450Aud. I ring Birdsville up and ask what the prices are and they tell me 850Aud, when I ask why the 400Aud increase they say because it is the last quaker parrot they have. Absolutely ridiculous.
Went here to buy a nesting box, Roger was very helpful and knowledgeable. Highly recommended.
