I decided to take up fishing again since moving back to Birmingham, I used to do a lot of sea fishing and moving back to the city I decided to look for a place to take my kids and make some memories, needless to say that Alvechurch fishery is a beautiful place to fish. The general maintenance for this place is brilliant. The fish are extremely healthy and are in perfect condition. Due to my disability I send my kids to the shop through out the day to get sandwiches and drinks the staff there have always been fantastic with them. All staff seem to be helpful and will correct you if your doing wrong. Overall 10/10 never had a bad visit

Had a great day, weather boiling hot. My mate and I sat in the canal lake, bit slow at the start, using pellet on the float, had a couple of nice carp, then we hit the method feeder. Mashed up pellet on method out to the island, the rest is history, one a chuck, plus a couple or 3 lost feeders when snapped. I fished Alvechurch when Simon owned it, and only had 1 pool. What a transformation.
No disabled peg for me so had to lug my gear round other side of lake as pegs we’re gone near by and with my disability MND this was a big struggle. Lake and facilities was fine and the sandwich in the morning was fantastic. Coming to the end of the day I caught a decent size carp and used the net provided and the cradle. Someone who works there came over and watched every move we made with the fish and made us uncomfortable as if it was his fish. I never got a photo with it and just put it straight back in lake. Wasn’t the best experience I’ve ever had catching my PB carp
Nice fishery, clean and tidy. Fish are in a good condition. Would recommend a visit.
