I was at SAPS Bizana Branch on the 2nd of January 2020. It was around 11am. As you can imagine it was still festive season and I expected all kinds of excuses for the service to be sluggish. I got there and there was a moderate to long queue from the outside. I quickly learnt the queue was for certifying docs. I wasn't certifying so I went inside. There were 4 officers(2 Males & 2 Females) in the reception area and I found that the office is small and hence people have to queue outside for certifying docs and enter one by one to reserve space for people coming for other things. The queue was quickly attended to, and there was only one or two people by the time I left . All four officers were polite, respectful, professional and welcoming. The officer (Mbangi???..not sure) who assisted me (and the person I came with) gave us undivided attention, reasoned with us and was sympathetic of our complaint. I felt comfortable and safe with her, I felt like an officer of the law really cared. Most importantly we were assisted efficiently. I wish and pray that all people who enter that office , even those who have bigger and more stressful complaints than ours, will leave that office feeling like we did. In short We were impressed.! Bizana home affairs can learn a lot from you about selfless service.
