Waited 45 minutes for breakfast. Bacon was soggy, potatoes were burnt and soggy, eggs “over medium” were runnier than the water I was drinking. Pretty hard to screw up a simple breakfast, but they did it epically. Kudos the to chef

Had dinner here. Service was good. I got the Asian Salad with 4 shrimp (5 extra). The taste was close to being good but was off a little. Was difficult to eat with a fork. I also got the burger . I got bacon (2 extra) and I think there might have been 1 mushroom sliced (3 extra). That was 1 pretty expensive mushroom! Bill came to 50. Way to expensive for what I got. Mo wonder they are keeping the buffet closed.
Had a real nice supper here here tonight, I had steak frites and my wife had the roasted chicken. Both were very tasty. Christi was our server, she was very personable and efficient. Good job!!
I really wanted to liked the place. We had a dinner at the night we arrived and a breakfast in the next day. Due to COVID every other place is closed inside the hotel so you have a choice of either of Starbucks or this place. Fireside has great atmosphere this is true. We took pasta with added shrimps (it was really a WISE choice! So my advise is just add something to your pasta if you choose it as a main dish otherwise you will be disappointed. It had a lack of some ingredients mentioned in menu) and a stake for dinner. To be honest - when it became cool it tasted like a ham on the breakfast we built an omelette on our choice so it was good. But cappuccino had some weird flavor and I was really disappointed. I am a coffee lover and expected a great one in the morning. I think that such a luxury hotel must have better restaurants food.
I'm working in town and staying at the Ameristar, so I ate a few times at Fireside to save time. The soups have all been pretty good, but I have yet to have a good meal. The burgers are bland, the pasta was served cold, and the hot chicken sandwich was all kinds of wrong (overcooked chicken, too much honey and plain white bread). On the upside, the waitress I had was very nice and attentive. The atmosphere is nice as well. Hopefully they fix the menu and the food.
I recommend the roasted chicken. Little long of a wait but worth it. The Champagne mule is fantastic and the service was amazing. Our server Juan made our night.
We ate here during lunch & the food was delicious. But for dinner, definitely do not recommend eating here. First off the service was horrible & the food was not great at all. Spent about 30 on each plate to not even eat a few bites. The food was cold & had no flavor whatsoever.
We saw the menu and thought a couple of items sounded good. We were wrong! Burger was not good. They were using older beef. I tried the hot chicken sandwich and it lacked flavor and heat. The sweet potatoes fries were the best part of either dish. Waiter was nonexistent, he took our order and we didn't see him again until he cleared the plates. I ran out of water during my meal and had to wait for a refill. Now to the seating, we were sat at a 2 top in the walkway right next to the fireplace. It was July. I understand that they have to space people apart but the booth next to us had customers as well. I would attach the photo I took but it won't let me.
