I had such a fabulous time of self-care here today. The environment is so warm and peaceful, and the Infrared sauna was a perfect place to begin calming down from the world outside. I had the coffee scrub & body butter service added onto my massage, which left me feeling so relaxed and my skin so incredibly smooth. Char did an excellent job! I finished up with some time resting in one of the heated salt beds and walked out of there a new person. I couldn’t have asked for anything more!

I made an appointment online for a couple of services since I was curious about the salt cave. My appointment time was 9am, I showed up right around 8:30 so I could get any paperwork done and maybe enjoy some salt time! It was cold and I was ready to be WARM! Doors were unlocked, lights on, but no one to greet me. I jiggled my keys, coughed, cleared my throat a few times hoping someone would hear me. Nobody ever came out to check me in. Nobody there to explain how to enjoy salt cave. I would have left but they had my credit card info and I did not want to deal with a dispute. Finally at 8:50 my girl came out and took me back. My treatments were fine but I am not impressed by the running of front. I love to visit spas, and I expect a bit of pampering and relaxation. I did not get that here. After my mud wrap, I showered and the towels smelled bad. Musty? Not pleasant! Finally at checkout, 3 staff members hanging out out front. I wondered out loud where were you earlier? Nothing included with your treatments. No salt cave time. That is EXTRA! My treatments were done by Cathy, she was very apologetic and she did a good job! She also gave me a complimentary bag of salt. I am off to Las Vegas to try a new spa! Stay tuned.

I am by no means an expert on massage therapy but I can tell you out of the massages I have received in the past this was the most thorough one. I went for a 2 hour massage but I wish it was a 4 hour one. Their lobby is pretty simple but the entire place is really nice and high quality looking. There wasn't a lot fanfare when I walked in which was fine by me. The receptionist was friendly, I filled out a quick paper and 4 minutes after walking in I was already in the room. I cant recommend this place enough. I totally looking forward to more massages and also taking advantage of the other services.

What a wonderful place to visit and relax. I have been to many spas around the nation and Black Hills Salt Cave & Spa is at the top of the list. The lobby is very welcoming and the waiting area is stunning and tranquil. I enjoyed the infrared sauna and salt cave during my visit. The soft towels were a perfect accompaniment to the sauna. The salt cave is like a piece of art. I've been to other salt caves and this is by far the most beautiful. I highly recommend the warm salt beds. They are the best. I can't wait to go back and try their other offerings. I would highly recommend this location for those longing for some pampering and self care. Top notch!!

Heard great things about this place so I thought it would be the perfect Christmas Gift Certificate for my Company Christmas Party. The place looks really intriguing. May have to try it myself some day. Staff was very friendly and helpful in selecting popular options for the Gift Certificate and it was a very popular door prize to give away. Several people mentioned that they would have love to have won it. Great addition to Spearfish!
