Pretty simple camp site with direct access to the lake. However, we realized half way through the night that this site is better for the wind farms then for tent camping. It was VERY windy.

I think the review here a pretty harsh. I won’t lie that I was a little surprised to drive up and realize that campsite was next to a wind farm. But it was the perfect place to camp to set out to hike Crypt Lake in Watertown the next day. We stayed for 2 nights, and both nights for super windy, but in the morning the winds were calm and it was very relaxing. The campsite itself was very quiet at night, and the facilities were clean considering they were outhouses. It’s definitely not the campsite for you if you are looking for lots to do, but as a travel through it’s a great location. Just make sure you tie down your tent well! Also make sure you catch the fire wood person when they come around because they don’t always come as scheduled. I also saw reviews about lots of bugs, we went in July and we didn’t see any, but that’s probably because the wind kept them down

Nice and quiet place. Clean water but not much activities around the lake.

Clean, quiet, good grass for tenting. Why no electricity on the east loop? This is a minor upgrade for maximum benefit. Definately needs more trees. Start a planting program now! Washroom buildings need higher vent pipes, peee-yew! Please fix the kids' trout pond. You have clear clean river water only 200 meters away. Put another playground on the west end. Small kids should not need to be driven to a playground.

Hot, sunny Sunday afternoon only a few people at the Windy point camp area.
