I have been helped by fantastic students over the years with my nails and hair needs. This place has a really nice salon atmosphere with cool people and cool music. Prices are reasonable and I always tip!! I have no plans to go anywhere else - Love this place

Blake Austin is such a great place to get your hair done. It is such a happy and fun environment. Callie was my stylist, and she did an amazing job!! She was very professional and friendly. Highly recommend her if you are going to get your hair done here!

I absolutely loved going Blake Austin for a haircut! Being in the military they were all very welcoming. Katie Sturgeon is very professional and I wouldn't want any one else to cut my hair. She was very comfortable with cutting my hair to the way it needs to be. Her clipper technique was very good and it's like she had been doing it a lot longer than she has been. Her instructor was very clear and helpful when she had questions. Not the fastest haircut in the world but the atmosphere in the cosmetology class was amazing. Everyone is always in a happy mood and the teachers are always around to help if the students have any questions. I definitely know where I'm going to get my hair cut from now on!

I have been going to Blake Austin for my perms & hair cuts for nearly 4 years. In that time I have rarely been disappointed in the results. Only once did my perm not come out well & that was because the student was so nervous—it was her first client perm.. I assured her I wasn’t upset & would definitely be back. As a customer, it helps to remember that you are dealing with students. The staff is very supportive of them & assists them if they feel uncertain. I’ve been to at least 2 other beauty schools in the Bay Area, & Blake is by far the best & most professional. And the prices are extremely reasonable. I used to pay 165 for a perm & cut in SF, which I get at Blake for around 50. Definitely worth a try.

This place is so unsanitary, the lady’s are rude, it’s favoritism being played as well, and I believe the instructors have a racial issue and/or one of them are on drugs. I called a few time because I know a couple girls who are students there, I wanted to come in and get my nails and a pedicure and this lady recommend me to 1 person to do my appointment BUT I was already informs that girl no longer was attending due to a personal issue, but I knew for a fact there was way more than 1 person who could took appointments for nail care and toes, not giving the others a chance to accept appointments. The bathroom are aren’t well cleaned, I always see hair all around, and I’m guessing she the teacher ?? But she always on the phone or not around helping just in case someone need assistance. The state board really need to come down there and regulate the School Environment, I even heard why a lot of people around the city either dropped out or won’t sign up due to poor treatment. I wish I could give the school NO star actually. Gotta do better.

I had a wonderful experience. Meagan was very nice, and did a beautiful job. My hair looks good and was done at a good price! The inductors were also great and very informative. I do wish people were more chatty. You get a little bored with just sitting there while your hair is being done and processing. But other than that it was a great experience. Defiantly coming back!
