Excellent service offering to an area of Dorset often neglected by the larger internet providers. Professional, friendly staff who are always quick off the mark to resolve questions I've had. Recommend.

i have been with this internet provider for about 4years and it has never seemed to stop having issues everytime i or a family member complains we are met with a late response and are just told there is nothing wrong with it. there has been a couple times when they have done somthing but its only been relitivley good for a week at most after that. also after being replyed to i have to wait another WEEK just to be told he is going to talk to somone else. i am non-stop disconecting from my games and often have ping exeeding 2000ms. i am very disapointed with the quality of the internet connection esspecialy for 50 a month and would change provider if i could but unfortunatly that isnt possible for me i am growing incresingly worried as i am now having to do home schooling and my family members are often stuttering or disconecting from meetings. i think in most cases it is better to just use my mobile data instead of being taunted by half loaded websites and constantly stuttering games and videos i would HIGHLY recommend NOT to use this provider if possible!!!!!!

Initially good signal but drops out randomly and is unreliable for work calls over Skype/Teams/Zoom etc and for 700 per annum and a high installation charge you’re probably better off using a mobile network to hotspot your internet service. This approach - on an unlimited data bundle you can still watch TV/Films on demand for less than a third of the cost of Wessex.

Great broadband service, but exceptionally great customer service. Technical staff equipped with brains and not just scripts, accounts staff empowered to make sensible decisions on a case-by-case basis. It's a company run by human beings, which is rare these days.

Wouldn’t recommend Wessex Internet if you’re looking for anything other than a basic connection. They offer speeds they can’t guarantee, their latency is 100ms and their customer service will stop replying to you once they’ve exhausted their supply of excuses. Update since I’ve had a response, I’m sat here on a Friday evening unable to stream BBC iPlayer. I have given up trying to use Wessex Internet for anything that requires good latency also, as my ping speeds have not consistently been below 100ms in weeks. A technician from Wessex Internet told me that the mast that supplies my connection is a relay, the connection to which is relayed from another relay mast, and another, and a few more relays until it gets its connection from a mast that is fibre enabled. More misdirection on Wessex Internets part. Whilst it may not be indicative of your whole network, I’m still on your network and receiving shoddy service. Hector, my account name is registered under Ryan Wiseman, please feel free to contact me should you wish, until the issue is rectified my review will remain at 1 star. I have already dealt with customer service numerous times as I stated originally, their only solution has been to halve the cost I’m paying for the service, as I was outright told (after many complaints) that they actually can’t guarantee a 50mbps connection on my line (presumably to do with our mast being at the end of a long line of relays). Whilst I’m sure your service is good elsewhere, I feel I am leaving this review fairly, as I am on your network and have had nothing but poor service from Wessex Internet.
