A bit of a hidden gem - the chateau and its grounds are suitably grand and beautiful (although it needs a bit of maintenance and a dusting to be honest). What makes it is the owner who takes you around the rooms and his collection of gaming artefacts. He is seriously knowledgeable and interesting to talk to on a huge range of topics - history, maths, games and gambling, science, ecology, furniture, design, ancient artefacts, and the local area. A really great trip if you're interested in interesting things, if not you may be disappointed.

De eigenaar geeft een rondleiding door zijn chateau en verteld oneindig veel feitjes over de vroegere bewoners en de geschiedenis van diverse spelletjes. Het allemaal niet heel gelikt maar dat heeft wel zijn charme.

Visite un peu longue mais intéressante. Le chateau est bien meublé. Le propriétaire est très gentil, j'ai passé un bon moment. Je reviendrai..

De moeite waard als je eens iets anders wilt dan een keurig ingericht chateau. Een gepassioneerd beheerder die je meeneemt door alle 30 kamers en ook zijn persoonlijke verhalen daar aan toevoegd. En als je van oude spellen houdt dan ben je in dit chateau aan het goede adres. Neem wel de tijd en negeer het stof en de spinnewebben.

Visite intéressante .on découvre des jeux anciens inconnus et le propriétaire est un passionné .le château a un charme incontestable et on peut excuser les propriétaires ne vivant pas sur place que le jardin soit délaissé. Mais ç est dommage .

Château laisser en ruines, honteux, remplis de toiles d'araignées, extérieur dégoutant et pour couronner le tout 10 pris honteux !!! Je déconseille fortement et durant la visite ne parle que des projets éoliens !

Le château d’Epanvilliiers est ouvert du 1 juillet au 31 août, aux horaires indiqués, sauf le lundi. Hier aux Journées Européennes du patrimoine , le site était fermé, semble t’il n’y participera plus.
