Quaint little hideaway in the mountains. Good fishing, quiet. My parents have been coming here since the nineties. Love it.

My first trip up I was not sure what to expect, a friend of mine owns two units up there and it's done like a timeshare you can use your unit or you can trade out for other times of the year and use the other units as well. It's very quiet peaceful and all the people that I have met up there have been extremely nice. They stock the fishing pond and you don't have to have a fishing license. You're just minutes from downtown Blowing Rock from the restaurant, shops, and the Parkway is right there and that's a beautiful ride with the scenic lookouts, mountains, also areas to cookout, ride bikes, spend time with the family.

We booked a two bedroom cabin which we didn't realize it was a multi-unit cabin with very thin walls. There was people above us that we can hear every step they took and hear what our neighbor was talking about. There was no way sleeping past 7:00. The driveway need to be paved, it was very steep and very scary to drive in at night. The shower ran out of water very quickly so be conservative when showering. The cabin was cute but just old. It has a nice fireplace. Fully equipped and furnished cabin. There was also a cute little pond stocked with trout and bass. The bed was very uncomfortable.

Great place to enjoy a quiet escape. Rustic. If you are looking for bling this place is not for you - If you seek a quiet escape in the middle of nature next to the Blue Ridge Parkway - This place is a wonderful choice.

Very dark and outdated, not good views one windows faced a wall, do not recommend. And you have to wash your own dishes and sheets that you use or you would be charged and you could here every foot step and person talk above you.

We've only been here one night so far but the snow and the small village look with a pond is awesome! My wife and I have stayed in various cabins all along the western border of NC. This is one of the best so far! Update! On our second to last night the two fellows above us had a New Years Eve party. The night was interrupted by three sheriff visits, broken windows, a broken nose, one arrested, and several large wooden chairs thrown from the deck above! It all started when one of the mens girlfriend wrecked his car against a tree at the bottom of the driveway. Management was absent despite us calling them several times. I am not sure the mgmt had any experience handling such chaos. We left for safety sake on the next morning cutting our vacation a day short! Safety was absolutely a major concern. Unfortunately, for your safety, I cannot recommend them! I have still yet to hear anything from the management! Sadly, I suspect you and your family are on your own for help! If mgmt would like any pictures we can provide.
