Currently pregnant and I need an emergency root canal done. I’ve been in pain for almost 48 hours now and by being pregnant I’m very limited on how I can control the pain. I was able to go to an emergency dentist and he was going to perform the root canal but by me being pregnant they needed my doctor to fax over a clearance stating that I can have the procedure done. I called the office several time and they stated my doctor was not available until mon I called Friday but I’ve been in pain since Thursday..Now mind you with me being in extreme pain i can’t eat sleep my baby is now not getting the proper nutrition. I’ve had to call off work due to the pain and mind you I still am not able to get the root canal done and now have to schedule another appt when I was literally in the chair and the dentist was willing to perform. I said all this to say they don’t care about their patients. I find it ridiculous that there is not an on call doctor for situations like this. The front desk page my doctor numerous of time and I have yet to hear back from anyone.. if you care about your health do not go to this place all they care about is getting you in and out.

Bait and switch billing. I told the person at the desk that I don't have insurance and would need to pay private-pay for services and needed to know the cost up front. Was informed that my family of 4 with 65k total income doesn't qualify for the sliding scale, and that the cost for this visit would total 180. I winced and said wow, that's a lot of money for me, but I have to do it for my kid to go to school. The desk person seemed to commiserate, but did not offer any options. When I saw the doctor, she wanted to break up the vaccines into two visits: I told her 180 was a lot of money and asked her if I would have to pay another 180 for a follow up visit. She said they could fit them all in on the same visit to save me money. About ten days later I got this bill for about 1k. I get it, medicine is expensive. However, professional, direct, up front and honest communication is free: ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS CARE. Access Blue Island clearly doesn't.

Doctors are good , front desk is rude and you can tell they truly do not care about you or your health whatsoever , good luck getting to the good doctors they have there

Weirdos, they need help, they kept asking me questions like who's my provider, who's sending you here and why can't you go to the location where your provider is located, after I told them my provider has me in the system and do I need an appointment for such a simple procedure, days before that someone put me on hold and never came back to the phone. My provider works from home, she doesn't see patients, so therefore, I go to other Access or hospital facilities, tried telling them that over and over. Four months prior, when I arrived for my appointment, I was told at the front desk that she does not see my appointment, when in fact my appointment was confirmed days before. After a bit of back and forth, she finally found my set appointment in the system

Today was my first time going with my children and the receptionist was beyond rude. Waited over an hour in the waiting room just to see the doctor for 5 minutes. They are not in forcing face masks, saw a man walk in without one and the receptionist didn't say anything. The place is outdated and the seats are way too close to one another, definitely not 6 feet apart the waiting room was extremely crowded. I didn't feel safe.
