Accessible by vehicle. They had a water buffalo here thankfully to refill on water. We camped here overnight to continue our Appalachian Trail trip. There is a nice spot, almost like a cave, where you can shelter yourself from the wind and have a nice fire.

Limited parking at this location but a great spot to set off north for Woody Gap or south for Springer. Expect to spend a very long drive (12 miles one way) on forestry roads to get here, a vehicle with good ground clearance is needed.

If you like to hike, it's beautiful, lots of up and down, and pretty decent parking. Road in can be rough in spots, but I came in and out in a Honda van.
