I had a knee revision of my right knee. I had been in a lot of pain from my first knee replacement and saw another doctor the first year we moved to Kansas City area. I am so glad I was sent to Dr. Hellman. I immediately had so much less pain after surgery.. The knee feels so solid and with therapy I am getting my life back. Cannot express my thanks to Dr. Hellman for the ease of the surgery process.

Dr. Hellman did a total hip replacement 7 wks ago. I had mentioned to him that I healed a little more slowly, than most people. I am not 100% yet, but I know that is my normal, not Dr. Hellman’s. My husband and I have been very impressed with him, and his staff, since day one. He did a great job of explaining the situation/surgery and I have had nothing but excellent follow-up ever since. He puts you at ease, as does his entire staff. I have recommended him to several people, should they find themselves in a similar situation. I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Hellman - the best compliment is IF I ever find myself needing surgery on the other hip - he will be the first and only surgeon I would consider. Kudos to all his staff, too.

Dr. Hellman replaced my left hip 8 weeks ago. I am pain-free and able to do everything I want without a cane or any other support. I understand I'm doing unusually well in that I was comfortable for brief periods on my left side within a day, and am able to sleep o it through most nights now. I was delighted that I didn't need the opioid pain meds after the first week except for a couple of nights when I'd spent an unusual amount of time standing. I have some trouble with my knees and will be seeking Dr. Hellman's expertise when it's time to replace them.
