I'm not a musical person so can't comment on Bob's achievements though they look great to me. He teaches my youngest to play drums once a week. We've seen great improvement and real enthusiasm after each lesson. While grading isn't the point of the lessons (he's playing for the fun) he is ready for his Grade 3 Rock School; he's not 12 yet and only been playing about a year. Couldn't recommend him more if you're looking for a great easy going teacher.

My 12 year old son James has been having lessons with Bob for 2 years now - Bob is not only an outstanding drummer who plays with the famous Glenn Miller orchestra but an amazing teacher! James has already passed Grades 1, 2 and 3 - all of those with distinction and is now starting to show real interest in jazz, all thanks to Bob (none of us parents are musicians). Can not possibly recommend more!

Bobby Cleall is a phenomenal drummer and educator, having worked with Buddy Rich, co-written Steve Gadd’s drum book Up Close and written numerous articles for Modern Drummer. If you’re a professional drummer looking to increase your big band chart reading skills or an amateur drummer looking for an unbelievable teacher in South East (UK) then look no further than Bobby Cleall. His knowledge and passion for the instrument are immense. I’ve studied with him for a number of years and I cannot recommend him highly enough.
