I started using Home Instead in August when my father came home from several weeks in a rehab facility after breaking his hip and having hip surgery. They have been so accommodating! We have changed the scheduled times we have needed them several times and they were able to accommodate us quickly. They worked hard to keep the number of caregivers in my parents home to a minimum while still providing all the care we require. Their caregivers have been very professional and a great help. My father was not willing to try walking again until one of the caregivers finally convinced him that he could trust her not to let him fall again. Since then he has been getting the movement he needs each day and is now able to transfer himself to a wheelchair as well as use his walker around the house. This has been a great improvement! We have been blessed with their terrific caregivers. It has taken a lot of pressure off of me & my sister as we live across the country & can’t be there regularly. They are doing a great job with my Dad as well as helping my Mom around the house as well. We highly recommend them!

Home Instead, Boerne, took care of my father for a couple of years in characteristically low-staffed assisted living & skilled nursing settings, providing not only companionship when we couldn't be there but also additional critical fall prevention, transfer assistance, etc. Our family was very satisfied with their care and responsiveness to issues and requests. Our dad trusted and relied on his caregivers & they really cared about him, which provided our family a great deal of comfort. Management and staff always listened to us and assured we had the caregivers we liked who best-suited his personality, habits and needs, always fulfilling our priorities of minimizing turnover and the number of caregivers he had. The couple of non-critical issues we did have over this service period were quickly resolved appropriately and to our satisfaction. I think this is a very professional, caring organization in a challenging business and highly recommend them based on our experience. I very much appreciated and thank them for their care of our father.
The office staff and care givers of Home Instead Boerne provided us with outstanding service for almost 2 years. My father had Parkinson's and his level of care and temperament presented many challenges. The care givers always did their best to meet his needs. Home Instead told us from the beginning that if a care giver was not able to get there in time for their shift, they guaranteed that someone would be there . And they fulfilled this promise.
Home Instead Senior care has provided outstanding service to my mother, for the past 2 years. Their services have been life changing and help me to provide my mother with the 24/7 care she requires. Use this service if you want to experience every nightmare you have ever had about leaving a loved one with a caregiver. Petty disputes and drama between caregivers, leaving patient sitting in filth for hours waiting for next shift to handle, can't lift more than 25lbs, missed medications, rough handling, talking negatively about patient within earshot, understaffed, high employee turnover, inconsistent scheduling, rough handling, innability to do transfers, and just general disorganization perpetuated by caregivers not being allowed to call one another or give out phone numbers. We had to go through the process of firing this firm, which was also a horrible process. As if the situation wasn't bad or stressful enough, this firm made it 10x worse. There are better options. It was daylight and dark with the next company we hired. This post is from first hand experience. Take heed.
