We recently had a situation where a moving company (two men and a truck) were hired to move a baby grand piano to our house. When they got to my house they could not figure out how to get it inside the house and left it in my garage. After the moving company refused to come move the piano like they were paid to do we called Piano Handlers at the recommendation of the The Steinway store. Mr. David Price and Greg from Piano Handlers came out early the next morning. They were extremely professional and carefully but quickly were able to move the piano into our house. You could quickly tell they knew very well what they were doing and who we should have called in the first place. I would not hesitate for a second to call Piano Handlers anytime I need my piano moved.
David called back promptly and was able to come out same day and moved the piano off the van and into the house in a matter of minutes. Great job. I recommend and would use again
Steinway Gallery in San Antonio recommend Mr Price. Despite the reviews, I still have them a try. Unfortunately most of the reviews here and on Angies List appear to be true. My main issue is they don’t respect other people’s time. Despite my every effort to go with their schedule, they picked up my piano at 1pm but still didn’t show up at 6:40pm! I am waiting in an empty house for over seven hours taking time off work for nothing. After texting David, I learned they pick up several other pianos during the same haul. They never told me they pick up several pianos. Had I know this wasn’t a straight shot, I wouldn’t agreed to the service. Every time they tell me they are close, 20 min still no show. At least David do respond to texts fairly quickly and apologized. The guys do seem to know what they are doing and handled the piano with care. Still this is not a pleasant experience.
