A beautiful and peaceful Site set in Strid Wood. Lovely scenic and serene walks along the river bank and peaceful woodland with an abundance of wildlife to enjoy.

This is a caravan site in a beautiful location. Excellent walks from the site along the river valley. Very relaxing and great views. Careful if you have a tall or wide motorhome. The approach road has an ornamental arch. The height is 3.3m and width 2.8m. Care required. Thr alternative route is narrow and up to an additional 20 miles. Good facilities and tearoom just outside the site entrance.

Up to theCaravan and Motorhome standard. Clean and friendly staff and we'll prepared for COVID-19 distancing. A very pleasing site to be on. Close by is the Strid Wood cafe which is recommended. Please note that the mobile phone signal is none existent although a faint signal can be picked up near the dog walk area - if you are lucky.

Lovely clean and quiet site with a nice cafe at the entrance. Great walk down the river to Bolton Abbey - no pubs or shops for around 3miles so go prepared. Very tall trees stop sunshine getting to vans so it can be cold - we were on pitch 32 - top row near reception get most sun 40 onwards. There is spare grass to pitch up a couple of chairs opposite for some evening sun though. All in all - fabulous.

Fantastic location, for sunny pitches select 47 to 55. Nice to have no phone signal, however if you are on Vodafone go down the dog walk take a right and go to the 4th post from the end. Good 3G signal here! See photo.

Thanks to Laurence and Yvonne for all their hard working keeping such a lovely clean and tidy site, great customer service and a fantastic stay at Bolton Abbey. Stunning site, well kept, great location for exploring the Abbey and surrounding areas. Will definitely return soon.

Love this site. Set in woodland with 70 miles of footpaths from entrance to site. Dog walking paradise. Nice & clean toilet block. Very pleasant, helpful & knowledgeable wardens. We will be back.
