GE Social Media was set up as Social Media Management company in 2011 by Gareth Evans after realising that with the influx of new social networks on the internet , there was a now great demand on businesses to be “up to date” with the latest social media. Based in Bolton, England although a relatively new business , the experience that Gareth had prior to setting up the business was vast to say the least. Gareth had previously worked in many different business sectors including marketing, health, Finance, construction, retail, media & design, Epos, logistics, entertainment and many more. Not only this but he had been marketing himself as a singer/songwriter/producer for the past 10 years running his own record label which gained some success. The Record label was a massive learning curve and led to Gareth understanding the the importance of social media and marketing with in a business. Along the way he was also able to pick up vital media skills in graphic design/web design & audio/video editing.
