The resort is amazingly huge-- there are four pools, one of which is limited to premium guests and the other one which is for relaxation and no kids are permitted (super recommended in my opinion). In the spa area you can also get massages as well as other body treatments. Food at the buffet is very good and varied. I also had dinner at the Italian restaurant, and don't recommend it at all. There is only a limited number of plates, none for vegetarians worth pointing out. Went to the island in front, did not like it at all. Full of people selling things and very limited space to relax. Staff very friendly at all times, and there are many different activities for kids and adults, as well as a club (which in our case we didn't get to go to as we didn't make it till 11, which is when it opens). Overall experience was great.
My first time here. The beach is nice. Buffet nothing special, the Italian restaurant was terrible, food was over cooked and tasteless. Lasagna had nothing in common with a real lasagna, lomo de res was very well done, dry as it can be. For the money you pay here for a night, its per person, not per room, its not worth it. Much better places for a better price available in Cartagena, you just have to pay apart for the food but you still run cheaper.
Nice place, nice experience. Food is OK but nothing fancy. There's a lot of activities and amenities. Also, you can rent boats, kayaks and sailboats. The bar is good but short in options. Is a nice place for families or couples looking for good vacations in the Caribbean.
Decameron Baru is one of those places that make u feel fortunate, they threat you so well that you think you belong there, every single worker is smiling at life, I really love this place
We enjoyed this hotel. It's really big. We went to barú beach walking outside the hotel and there are beutiful beaches without people, just alone. I love it. The food is yummy.
We loved it here...we are coming back! There is so much to do and the food and drinks are good! The entertainment is fun and the staff was super nice. Not many people who speak English! Download Google translate.... But we still had an amazing time! Do go across the water to the free beach part for food and drink.
