I feel grateful for having this lovely Victorian park within walking distance of home. I've especially appreciated it during the lockdown, when I can go & walk amongst the trees & listen to the birds singing. I know the park isn't like it was in its heyday but I'm just thankful for the space it offers.

It looks abandoned, the council should clean it more often! They should put more litter bins there, so the people wouldn't throw their garbage on the floor! The place for kids is great! (Playground) you can bring your dog/ pet
Best park in bootle by far.... Great for walking the dog as its a big park with no restrictions to where you can have your dog off the lead(apart from the fenced off children's play area). Has a exercise area ,football/basketball cages, zip wire ride, bowling green(might need to be a member)...so many trees and lovely plant beds where you will see a lovely variety of birds and squirrels too. Also has the original elegant band stand in the centre of the park to which my aunty danced around when the war ended in 1945 which has entertainment(singers bands etc) during the summer months, lovely happy park,
Lived by it most of my life.facilities and amenities have changed over the years sometimes not for the best but we live in difficult times.I take my dog every day for a walk and he is luckier than me because he cen happily have a pre if he wants unlike me!!I am ,72and would be happier and more comfortable if there was a toilet opened up!!!
