Whilst I understand the reasons behind joining this practice with one in Thornton it has been done with no thought to the elderly or people who would struggle to get there. My mum is 84 and uses a mobility scooter for her independence.... she would no way be able to attend the Thornton surgery in her own like she did to the Netherton surgery therefore diminishing her hard won independence especially at this time.

You can never get through on the phone in the morning, and when you do the doctors promise service that is never done. Dealing with the surgery gives you anxiety. When i complained the receptionist suggested i join another practice then...so so rude.
You cannot get through in the morning. There is no call queue system and it cuts you off if the phone is engaged. I have literally called 200 times. It is a joke. When you actually get an appointment it is 50:50 on the doctor's. Some are great, some brush you off. They also don't give test results until the afternoon but don't tell you this, so when you call they are really rude about it.
Never had a problem with this GP practice. Always very polite and courteous. Always try their best.
Absolute shambles. Been waitin since friday for painkillers an now its not been done an told to phone for a new appointment at 8 2moro morn an who knows if its even possible to get 1. Absolute joke
