Great place for a family day out. It has a little cafeteria you can buy snacks and drinks. There are some animals that you can see if you bought a ticket. (Good for families with children) Great walking distance from the car park to the end of the lake through green bushes and trees. Very relaxing and peaceful you will love the birds singing. Perfect for the local community for spending their free time.

We visited the Country Park on 11th November 2020 for my husband's birthday. On arrival, there was plenty of parking space. Parking costs a flat fee of 4.50 for the day and this money is used to fund the upkeep of the land and facilities. We did not have coins so purchased a parking token from the small farm shop, which sold snacks and fresh eggs. The farm was sadly closed due to the second lockdown, but we saw some cows, sheep, turkeys, and ponies from a distance. There were facilities to wash hands between the farm shop and the kiosk, which sells hot and cold drinks. We did not have time to visit the 100 Aker Woods as we began with the walk around the reservoir and by the time we had completed this the weather was beginning to turn and we didn't want to be in the rain with a small baby. The walk around the reservoir was very pleasant. It was extremely peaceful and the autumn leaves made it very scenic. It was extremely muddy in places so wellies would be a wise choice! We enjoyed spotting all the mushrooms in the undergrowth, and watching the ducks on the water. We spied a wild rabbit and some parakeets too. Although some may baulk at the 4.50 parking fee it is worth considering that many coffee places charge nearly as much for a single drink. I'd much rather have an hour of nature for my fiver! Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our visit and will return with our little one when the farm is open.

100 Akers woods is great for all the family, I came here with my family, then later I took my young children, and many many years later, I still come back, as its a relaxing place to be with so many memories. And then a brisk walk around the reservoir, thankfully on a pleasant day with no rain, and so much to see and enjoy, finished off with a coffee, what better way to enjoy a Sunday.

Nice country park to walk around (mainly a large lake). Couple of open side fields to let the dogs off leads and have a proper run about (hard to do on the path round the lake). Car park was packed and costs 4.50. If you’re just out for walking dogs, maybe not the best choice.

My 9 month old daughter loved the farm.... Perhaps not as much as me! Beautifully kept and the country park itself is massive. We also had lunch at the rustic rhubarb cafe which was tasty. I had a gluten free brownie which was excellent with plenty of big chunks of chocolate. I will be back to explore more.
