Initially booked a major service MOT and finding funds low cancelled the major service through the service centre helpline - took ten minutes and the refund was back with me inside two days. MOT was active, took the car in and needed to sort my financials to make everything happen inside the day and the desk staff (Stewart) was as jovial as possible about everything. Very fairly priced, all minors documented, majors fixed. Time pleasantly spent finding borehamwood high street and mooching until called. N.B. They can not take cash at this time and they can not ever accept people phoning in with credit/debit card details.

Considerable work, including a new battery, was necessary prior to my Honda Jazz taking its sixth MOT test. The Halfords mechanic did it all very satisfactorily. However I was not told that a new battery would affect certain electrics, not least the radio. I needed a code to rectify that and, being old and not tech-minded, found that very stressful. That is the reason for my awarding only three stars.

A very friendly and professional auto centre, very impressed with their Covid precautions too. I was informed that the MOT would take 40 minutes and it was done within that time frame :) The only thing I would advise people when booking is to book during the day. I booked an evening slot which resulted in me walking along the main roads in the dark to occupy my time and keep warm due to not being able to wait anywhere inside, which of course is completely understandable during these times. Overall very happy with the service.
