This is the only place I'll buy hiking and snow shoeing gear. Never had a bad experience here. The staff are so helpful....they'll educate you about products that might be best for you without pressuring you to buy.

I went in to repair a flat as I was in a hurry to go meet a broker to visit apartments, and the mechanic was out for lunch, and they let me use their repair stand to fix my bike! Nice guys!
Great friendly and knowledgeable staff! I've gotten a lot of gear from this particular EMS store, most recently some climbing equipment, and I've always been satisfied with the quality of their products and customer service. Though smaller than REI, they seem to have more gear selections and are usually better stocked. You can walk around REI for hours before a staff member approaches you, and even then they are little to no help.
One of the cleanest and nicest EMS stores around. The fact that it is right at the Babcock St T stop is a plus.
I asked a dude working in the cycle section about some pricey tubes that were supposedly self-sealing; he gave me his honest opinion and told me I should just get the cheaper, standard tubes. Nice.
I like EMS and the store is a great place to grab some outdoor gear if you don't have time to wait for an Amazon order to arrive. My only complaint is that they don't allow dogs in store.
Good store, so sad they are closing...
These folks really left me hanging and kept promising help that never came. I ended up dropping over 400 but it was like pulling teeth to get these people to help me!
